Around 24 miles away from Bakersfield, there is the Wasco Rose Festival happening at Barker Park in Wasco.

27th Annual VillageFest at Kern Pioneer Village

An amazing event for everyone who is either 21 years of age or above. This is not a place for family but rather a great place for partying for adults. Some are even calling it “Party of the Year”.

This event is taking place on Saturday, September 9 · 6 – 10 pm PDT at Kern Pioneer Village with ticket pricing ranging from $109-$129.

The price is not that high when you consider what activities you can enjoy such as live music with over 15 bands, and over 30 restaurants from Bakersfield serving food samples to you for free.

Moreover, you get  60+ breweries, and 25+ Central Coast wineries with a lot of different wines. However, there is a slight limit on drinks for safety. You can only get 15 drinks with your ticket but the food is unlimited.

Another family-friendly event on September 9th and 10th can make your weekend easier with a cheap entrance fee of $5 and free entry for children who are 15 or under.

This event is happening at California State University, Bakersfield, and includes a lot of stuff from local artisans and collective vendors. You can enjoy shopping, and eating and admire the wide range of art that is displayed at this event.

So, head over to California State University, Bakersfield from 8 am to 2 pm on both September 9th and 10th.

The tickets range from $45 to $109.

Kern County Fair – September 20th to October 1st

Enjoy a great time with your family at the Kern County Fair happening from September 20th to October 1st with a lot of activities, concerts, stalls, and much more.

The ticket is priced at $5 for children aged 6-12 years of age and an adult ticket is priced at $12. However, if you have a military ID, you can enter for free at this fair.

Other than this, parking is charged separately at the event. It will cost you around $10 to park your car.
