I am a real estate agent and trust me when I say that real estate in Bakersfield is more affordable than many other places.

Well, you don’t have to just take my word for it. Garry Crabtree, who is a very seasoned appraiser comes out with a report about real estate.

The report is called the Crabtree report and that report states that Bakersfield is 53% more affordable than any other place.

So, a new buyer can expect to pay way less than in some popular areas like Huntington Beach. However, the good part is, that Prismo Beach is just 2 hours away from Bakersfield. So, even if you can’t afford to buy there, you can visit the beach with ease.

Bakersfield is part of California and everyone thinks California is crazy expensive but that’s not the case with Bakersfield.

It is truly a hidden gem in California.

Bakersfield is a Prime Location

Bakersfield is a Prime Location

The population of Bakersfield is big, around 730,000 people live here yet there is something about this place that makes it seem small. For example, you’ll run into the same people again and again, especially the ones you know like a village or something.

The Kern River goes through the town and enhances the beauty of the land. The Kern River itself offers many activities like rafting, fishing, and much more.

That being said, another positive thing about Bakersfield is the education. You’ll find a homeschooling community here and you’ll also find regular schools, charter schools, and a university here.

Other than this, the location is also perfect because it’s two hours closer to the beach and on the other side it’s two hours closer to the mountains of Tehachapi.

So, Moving to Bakersfield has many pros and very few cons. I believe the facts speak for themselves.
