Find Your Voice Summer Reading Challenge

Kern County Library in Bakersfield is going to host this event in July 2023 in which you will be able to unlock the free book signup at kerncountylibrary.org/SRC by reading 10 books for straight 10 hours.

Reading lovers will be the happiest to take this challenge and win a free signup to the library’s website. People of all ages are invited to participate in this challenge. The plus point is that the event is free so anyone can avail this opportunity and participate in the challenge.

Independence Day Celebration

Fireworks for the Independence Day celebrations will happen at the River Walk Park in Bakersfield where entry is free.

Independence Day celebrations will start at 6:00 pm on the 4th of July and the amazing fireworks will light up the city at 9:15 pm with musical night. You can enjoy the celebrations at the beautiful riverwalk park with your family and friends.

First Friday – Art Walk

This year 7th July is the first Friday of the month and Downtown Bakersfield is organizing an Art Walk on this day that will last from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.

Locals from Bakersfield will set up their tents to sell handmade items, food, art pieces, and a lot of other things.

You can visit and enjoy shopping for your favorite art pieces from there as entry is free of cost.

Wind Wolves Preserve Night Hike

Wind Wolves Preserve covers the area of the hike for San Emigdio Canyon Trail. Although the event is free, registrations are required since the seats are limited.

The night hike is enjoyable at 8:00 pm on the 7th and 29th of July this year. The age requirement for this hiking event is 7+ years so you can take your children with 8 years and above with you as well.

The Weekend Night

The Weeknd Night by Temblor Brewing Company is scheduled for the 8th of July at 9:00 pm where DJ Pinkteeth will entertain the attendees with his magical music.

This event is for 18+ people and costs $8 – $12 per ticket which can be pre-bought at ticketweb.com.

Bakersfield Hyundai Summer Movie Series

Bakersfield Fox Theater is famous for its movie events. This time in July they are going to organize the Bakersfield Hyundai Summer Movie Series on 9th July at 1:00 pm. For tickets, you can visit AXS.com where they cost $5.

Bee Gee’s Tribute
